bobCast #14 The Podcast Project

This time we meet and interview some of the faculty that makeup the "Podcast Group" here at Broward Community College. These faculty members will come together to learn how to podcast and how to apply the technology to their classrooms. In this interview they will discuss their plans as to how they will use this technology in the classroom.

Our "Podcast Group" consists of the following South Campus faculty:

  • Dr. Patrick Ellingham - of the English Department
  • Prof. Francisco Grisales- Spanish (MFL)
  • Dr. Kate LeGrand - Office Systems Technology
  • Prof. Steven Godby - Soc./Bev. Sciences
  • Prof. Robert Buford (bob) - Speech and Communications

Once again we will feature the music of Ms. Adrina Thorpe. I know this is twice in a row but I like the way she sings. I hope you enjoy the podcast and each and everyone has a Happy Nwe Year and a great new semester!

bobCast-13-2005-11-27 What Do You Do When The bobCast Is Not Enough?

Welcome to bobCast 13 - The lucky edition.

Today we take a look at some storm technologies -
chainsaw 101 - How to purchase and sharpen your own chainsaw chain.

Wood stacking and hauling, and most important how to sweet talk city workers so that they will haul off all of the stuff in front of your house.

As soon as we can get a roofer to return our calls, we will cover the art of "The Roof". also known as how to get one on top of your house instead of in the backyard.

We wrap our ears around some "podsafe music" from the podsafe music network.
This podcast will feature a young lady with a beautiful voice, Adrina Thorpe.
The following is the discription from here podsafe music network page:

Bio:
On Adrina Thorpe's debut album, "elusive," delicate piano melodies and lush vocals weave in and out of each other, drifting amid the punchy bass and drum lines. Like paper-thin china or like sunrise on the gray ocean waves...Adrina's melodies captivate listeners with their distinct beauty.
